Brutality - Call Me The Butcher

I was out in the garden today, viciously pruning back the tomato bushes and actually had to pull up a bush or two that was obviously rotten at the core.

The weather lately in American Samoa has been wet. By wet, I mean wetter than usual, even for the barest edge of the start of our wet season. In all, we've probably gotten as much rain in the last two weeks as the entire states of California, Arizona, and Texas have received this year and maybe last year, or maybe even more.

I have, courtesy of our local Land Grant, seedlings for more tomato plants, as well as second generation Kewalo and F2 generation hybrid seedlings resulting from the current planting. These shall go into the garden very soon. Probably in a day or two, if not later today. I'm kind of tired of wearing green stained t-shirts. Maybe I'll just have to garden naked...
